The hose spreader is responsible for distributing the hose evenly on the hose reel. It moves in one direction when the robot moves forward and in the other direction when the robot moves backwards. It is also activated during manual control of the hose reel on the Manual screen.

After the hose spreader reaches either end position (left or right) it changes direction. One stroke takes 60 s.

The hose spreader motor is located under the hood inside the grey box.
